Jose Luis Garcia Gonzalez, 49, of Belvidere, passed away, Thursday afternoon, May 18, 2017 in OSF St. Anthony Medical Center. He was born August 20, 1967 in Juchique de Ferrer Veracruz, Mexico, son of Pastor Garcia and Maria de Los Angeles. Jose married Maria Guadalupe Tinoco Perez on October 22, 1993. He was an avid soccer fan and loved cheering on Club América. Jose made his spiritual home at St. James Catholic Church in Belvidere.

His is loved and will be missed by his wife, Maria Guadalupe Tinoco Perez; mother, Maria de Los Angeles; children, Kenya J. Garcia Tinoco, Angela Atzir Garcia Tinoco; brothers, Franco (Claudia) Garcia Gonzales, Rafael Garcia Gonzalez as well as many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his Father Pastor Garcia.

A funeral mass will take place at 1:00 p.m., Friday, May 26,2017 at Saint James Church, 402 Church Street, Belvidere, IL 61008 with Father Brian Geary officiating. A visitation will be held from 5:00 pm till 8:00 pm., Thursday, May 25, 2017 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave, Belvidere, IL 61008. Burial will take place in Mexico.
