Jon William Brunschon, 80, of Belvidere, IL, died peacefully, January 11, 2022, in Belvidere. He was born June 25, 1941, in Elgin, IL son to Edward Henry and Marietta (Boncosky) Brunschon. He graduated high school and married Gloria Davis July 31, 1965, in Marengo, IL. Jon was a Maintenance Leader for 39 years at Warner Electric, now called Thompson Electric in Marengo. He was a member of The American Legion and a lifetime Moose member in Belvidere. Interests include farming, mowing and putzing in the yard. He loved his time in the outdoors!

He is loved and will be dearly missed by his wife, Gloria; daughter, Charlene Croyle; sons, Jon (Ellen) Wayne and Michael William; sister, Barbara Brunschon; grandson, Thomas; granddaughter, Victoria; numerous nieces and nephews; and an aunt. He is preceded in death by his parents; and two grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., Saturday, January 22, 2022, at the American Legion, 900 W. Chrysler Dr., Belvidere, IL 61008. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his honor can be made to Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. To share a memory, please visit www.AndersonFCS.com.
