John C. Merrow, 71, of Belvidere, died Tuesday, September 30, 2014 in Swedish American Medical Center Emergency Department following a long illness. He was born June 22, 1943 in Taylor, Michigan, the son of Claude and Audrey (McCreery) Merrow. John was a professional driver for Diamond Roller of Elk Grove, Illinois. He served his country in the Army during the Vietnam Era. He enjoyed watching TV. He is survived by his three sisters, Doris Salamone, of Belvidere, Illinois; Carol Graham, of Taylor Michigan and Linda Merrow, of Belvidere, Illinois; a niece, Sheri Engelbrink and her son, David; and two nephews, David Graham and Buddy Merrow.
