John Jay MacGowan, 58, of Belvidere, died on Monday, October 24, 2011 in OSF St. Anthony Medical Center. Born August 8, 1953 in Beloit, WI, son of Robert and Jean (Buss) MacGowan. Married Candi Burton on October 13, 1984 in Rockton. Member of the Masonic Lodge of Belvidere #60 and John Hugo Kaiser VFW Men's Auxiliary, the drummer for the Union Pacific Show Band, and enjoyed boating and spending time at his cottage on Lake Koshkonong. Survived by his loving wife Candi, sister Bonnie (Ralph) Elliott of AZ, brothers Mac (Julia) MacGowan of AZ, Alan (Pat) MacGowan of Walworth, WI, and Robert MacGowan of Beloit, WI and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents.
