Obituary

John E. "Jack" Schultz, 71, of Belvidere, died Monday, February 28, 2011 in the V.A. Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin following a short illness. He was born March 21, 1939 in Belvidere, the son of Amos H. and Wannetta S. (Hammond) Schultz. He was raised in the Baptist Faith. John was a graduate of Belvidere High School. John was a machinist for the Ispen Co. He served his country by enlisting in the Navy from 1956 to 1960. John was a member of the V.F.W. John Hugo Kaiser Belvidere Post 1461. He attained 20 plus years of sobriety as a member of Alcoholics Anonymous. John is survived by his three daughters, Joyce (Todd) Saarinen, Beth (Crenshaw) Dodson, both of Belvidere, and Sherri (Chuck) (Crenshaw) Vrasich, Woodstock; 10 grandchildren, Brandie Southwick, Ryan Southwick, Timothy "T.J." Saarinen, Aleasha (Eric Bulock) Rodgers, Casey Rodgers, Chuck (Taryn) Vrasich, Justin Burno, Joshua Burno, Tony Vrasich, Melanie Vrasich; 2 great-grandchildren, Zander and Brayden; four brothers, Gerald (Harriet), George and Darrell (Kathy) Schultz and Mike (Linda) Butz; a sister-in-law, Margaret Schultz and his two former wives, Rose (McClenthen) Austin and Sharon Stanton. John was preceded in death by his parents, son, Tim Schultz, daughter, Jaclyn Schultz; granddaughter, Shawna Burno; and brother Jim Schultz.
