John Teller Adams, 84, of Poplar Grove, IL, died peacefully December 11, 2020 in Belvidere, IL. He was born April 18, 1936 in Chicago, IL, son to Arthur Luther and Vivian (Knackstadt) Adams. John married Martha Suhr October 8, 2016 in Belvidere. John graduated Maine West High School and attended some college. As a young man he was a draftsman. He worked for Siemens medical company writing technical manuals, once writing manuals for pet scanners. John attended the First United Methodist Church in Belvidere and Deer Creek Church in Deer Creek , Illinois. Interests included photography of quiet parks and countryside roads.

He is loved and will be dearly missed by his wife, Martha; daughter, Dawn Wittman; son, David Adams; stepchildren, Douglas (Stephanie Jo) Suhr, Stephanie Kay Suhr; nieces, Carol Boyle, Patti Carroll and Susan Mayle; and multiple grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; previous spouse, Sandra Brown; sister, Nancy Adams; and best friend, Daniel Rohrer.
