Joel K. Saynor, 60, of Belvidere, died Monday, September 15, 2014 in Swedish-American Hospital. Born September 20, 1953 in Woodstock, IL; the son of Hugh J. and LaVerne B. (Rick) Saynor, Sr. Joel is a graduate of Hiawatha High School, Kirkland, IL. He was employed by Johnson Controls as a Line Worker. Joel served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Lutheran Faith. He enjoyed roller skating, building models and the outdoors. Joel was a member of UAW Local 1268. He is survived by daughter, Erin (Adam) Yager, four grandchildren, Stephen, Seleste, Sheridan and Sierra Frohling; and sister, Beth Quitno, all of Belvidere. Joel is preceded in death by parents, two sisters, Aimee Christiansen, Lynn Gentile and brother, Hugh J. Saynor, Jr.

A Celebration of life will be held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, September 28, 2014 in the Community Building located behind 530 Devonshire, Crystal Lake, IL. Private Inurnment with full Military Honors in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, Illinois has taken place. Arrangements by Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services at Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Chapel, 218 W. Hurlbut Av. Belvidere, IL.
