Joan Carol Smith, 76, of Belvidere died Sunday May 21, 2006 at Northwoods Care Centre in Belvidere. She was born December 25, 1929 in Nanticoke, PA. the daughter of Joseph and Janet (Brehm) Jablonski. She is survived by 2 daughters: Cynthia J. VanWambeke of Carpentersville, Connie L. Cavalzani of Belvidere, IL., 7 grandchildren: Dennis Erb, Kelly Erb both of Carpentersville, Christopher Guinn, Eric Guinn both of Springfield, MO., Jay Cowan of Carpentersville, Nicole MacNerland of Shreveport, LA., and Dana Cavalzani of Belvidere. She is predeceased by her parents, daughter Marcy Lee Smith, sister: Nancy Lee French, son: Robert B. Smith, and her husband Robert E. Smith.
