Joan Mary Peabody, 80, of Belvidere, IL passed away peacefully Monday, February 16, 2015. Joan was born September 19, 1934 in Chicago, IL to John and Adriana Lueder. She graduated from St. Edwards Catholic High School and married John D. Peabody, in 1951 in Elgin, IL.  Joan was a loving caregiver and enjoyed running her daycare for many years. She was always lighting up a room with her vibrant sense of humor.
Joan is loved and will be missed by her children: John L. (Janet) Peabody, Jeffery (Sheila) Peabody, Janet Peabody and Joel Peabody. Her eight grandchildren: Lisa, Rhonda, Jennifer, Jeffery, Caroline, Kayle, Adriana and Rachel; and loving great grandmother to 5. Joan is predeceased by her parents and siblings, Audrey, Jack, Dorothy and Herald.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, February 21, 2015 in Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services at Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Chapel, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, IL. Visitation will be from 10:00AM until time of service.
