Jerome F. "Jerry" Rinehart, 74, of Belvidere, died at 10:40 A.M., Saturday, August 11, 2007 in his home following a sudden illness. He was born April 1, 1933 in Galena, Ill., the son of Theodore and Lillian (Bardell) Rinehart. Jerry attended Galena High School before joining the Navy. He married Lucille Hinds in Loves Park, Ill., October 8, 1955. He was employed as a Machinist for Sundstrand Corp. for over 40 years before retiring in 1995. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the Navy. He enjoyed walking, fishing and, most of all, spending time with his family. He is survived by his two children, Cathy (Frank) McCoy; Allan (Annette) Rinehart; 5 grandchildren, Dan, Jen, Jason, Sarah and Anna. A brother, Burdette and sister, Juanita, and sister-in-law, Doris Rinehart. He was preceded in death by Lucille in 2005, as well as sons, Terry and Ted; and brothers, Wesley, Marvin and Melvin.
