Jeffrey S. "Jeff" Acker, 50, of Belvidere, Ill., died Saturday, January 20, 2007 in St. Charles, Missouri following a sudden illness. He was born December 24, 1956 in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, the son of Allen and Mary (Benner) Acker. Jeff married Lou Ann Prieve in Elgin, Ill. on July 3, 1976. He was a Professional Driver for SMX. Prior to driving, he was employed by A T & T Cable Company. In his spare time he enjoyed remodeling and doing things with his nieces and nephews. Jeff loved to drive, and always said "he liked doing his job and get paid to visit other states." Jeff graduated from Larkin High School. He is survived by his wife, Lou Ann, Belvidere; a son, Allen Acker, Belvidere; a brother, Brian (Dawn) Acker, Fox River Grove, Ill.; two sister-in-laws, Cheryl Brown, Belvidere; and Kathy Campbell, Carpentersville, Ill. and his beloved dog, "Brutus" . He was preceded in death by his parents.
