Jeanne Kreul, 85, of Loves Park died Tuesday morning, August 7, 2007 in her home after a lingering illness. Jeanne was born June 21, 1922 in Belvidere, IL the daughter of Earl S. and Matae E. (Nichols) Harned. She married Mr. Robert S. Long and then following his death she married Mr. Joseph I. Kreul. Jeanne owned a mink farm for a number of years prior to her retirement. She was a member of Adaline Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star for over 50 years.Survivors include her children, Cele R. (John Zordan) Mercer of Rockford, Cedric E. (Lara) Long of Bement, IL, Neil H. (Edna) Long of Machesney Park, IL, Joseph H. (Toni) Kreul of Roscoe, IL, Sandra Kreul of Tampa, FL; 14 Grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; several nieces an nephews; and her "best four legged friend" Buggsy.Jeanne was predeceased by her parents, both husbands; son, Jeffrey Steven Long; sisters, Ruth and Barbara.The family wishes to acknowledge Dr. Berko, MD and Joan Walker of OSF St. Anthony Medical Center, Richard Conley and Gerald Croissant for their care and support.
