Jean Alexandria West, 76, of Poplar Grove, IL died peacefully on February 20, 2018 at her home in Belvidere, IL. Jean was born May 7, 1941 in Belvidere, daughter to Robert C and Margaret (Brown) Bean. She married her sweetheart, Gary West on November 14, 1964 in Rockford, IL.  Jean received her high school diploma from North Boone High School.

Jean loved volunteer work as a Jehovah's Witnesses for many years and was a member of congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses in Belvidere. She loved animals, flowers, bird watching. Jean also was an avid reader.

Jean is survived by her husband, Gary West; her uncle, Bill Bean; and many friends. Jean is preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Roberta Wright.
