Jean Anne Peters, 86, of Belvidere, IL, passed away peacefully July 20, 2023. She was born February 2, 1937 in Belvidere, IL, to Ralph Peters Sr. and Myrtle Wych. She was a lifelong member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Belvidere. Jean enjoyed bowling, and was on a weekly women's bowling league for many years, winning many awards. She also loved to play Pinochle and Bingo. Above all Jean loved all of her many nieces and nephews dearly.

Jean will be missed by her sister, Mary Ellen Olson; aunt, Marilyn Orr; nieces and nephews, Dennis (Dianne) Van Laningham, Kim (Doug Scott) Karlson, Kathy (Bob) Farmer, Rodney (Vonne) Van Laningham, Daniel Olson, Katie Kelly, Lori (Doug) Sauter, Kelly (Larry) Woyach, J.D. (Carole) Peters, Lisa Peters, and Steve Peters; as well as many great and great-great nieces and nephews whom she loved very much.

She is welcomed into heaven by her parents; brothers, Ralph and Harold; sister Helen (Van Laningham) Bunk; sister-in-law Nancy; brother-in-law Eldon; and nephew Lee

A visitation will be held Thursday, July 27, 2023, at 10am, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, located at 1045 Belvidere Rd, Belvidere, IL 61008. Funeral services to follow at 11am, with Pastor Campbell officiating. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers please make donations in Jean's name to Immanuel Lutheran Church.
