Jean M. Fuchs, 86, of Arlington Heights, Illinois and formerly of Belvidere died Wednesday, June 6, 2012 in the Lutheran Home for the Aged. She was born July 20, 1925 in Richmond, Illinois; the daughter of Richard G. and Helen (Kruse) Richardson. She was married to Thomas G. Fuchs on May 7, 1955 at St. Mary Church, Woodstock were she lived for five years before moving to Belvidere in 1960. She graduated from Richmond Burton High School in 1943 and from Sherman Hospital School of Nursing in 1946. She worked as an assistant supervisor in Pediatrics at Sherman Hospital and St. Joseph Hospital of Elgin in Pediatric Care. She also worked at Shappert Clinic in Belvidere for eight years and six years at the Boone County Council on Aging. Jean also did volunteer work for many years at Boone County Council on Aging. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church and past officer of St. James Catholic Daughters. A lifetime member of St. Joseph Hospital Auxiliary in Belvidere; Sherman Hospital Auxiliary in Elgin; and Boone County Council on Aging Auxiliary of Belvidere. Jean is survived by her son, Kevin (Diane) Fuchs, of Greenville, Indiana; Daughter-in-law, Jennifer Fuchs of Rockford, Illinois; daughter, Cynthia (Dan) Weber of Palatine, Illinois; seven grandchildren, Maggie Fuchs, Lisa (Jacob) McDonald, and Hannah Fuchs; and Stacy (Andrew Lisi) Weber, Julie (Jacob) Marcotte, Tommy and Haley Weber; sister, Ruth (William) Johnstone of Harrisburg, Virginia; numerous nieces and nephews. Proceeded in death by parents, husband, Thomas Fuchs, son, Donald Fuchs, and sister, Ann Brunswick.
