Janice F. Stephenson, 66, formerly of Belvidere died Saturday, May 1, 2010 in Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, Ky following a courageous battle with breast cancer. She was born January 3, 1944 in Scarbro, West Virginia, the daughter of Ralph and Lorraine (Settle) Pauley, Sr. Janice lived most of her life in Belvidere. She was married to George M. Stephenson in Oak Hill, West Virginia on September 24, 1960. Janice was employed by Chrysler Corp. for 28 years. She was a member of the local UAW. She is survived by her husband, George, of Grand Chain, IL; three daughters, Tammi (Gary) Furman, of Japan, Tina Stephenson (Jim Anderson), of Grand Chain, Illinois and Janet (Robert) Erdmann, Byron, Illinois; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; three brothers, Sammy, Robert and Ralph, Jr. Pauley and one sister, Eydie Kay Hamblin, several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, a sister and a brother, Mary and Sherman, Pauley.
