Janice I. Riley, 83, of Belvidere, IL, passed away peacefully, Saturday afternoon, February 5, 2022, in her home, surrounded by her loving family, after a lingering illness. Janice was born February 25, 1938, in Belvidere, IL, the daughter of Glenn A. and Mae K (Peterson) Bloomingdale. Janice grew up and attended Genoa-Kingston schools graduating in 1956. She married Raymond D. Riley on October 5, 1957, in Kingston, IL. Janice worked with her husband at Riley Standard, and then spent some time working at Kleber's Emporium in Belvidere; more recently she worked for McDonald's for ten years before her retirement. Janice enjoyed walking through the parks, gardening, canning, and camping. More importantly, she loved to spend time doing all of this with her family, especially her grandkids and great-grandkids.

Daughter Luann (Steve) Harris, Belvidere, Douglas (Pamela) Riley of Belvidere; grandchildren, Heather Riley, Jandy Riley, Robert Riley, Kim (Dewy) Barnes, Doug (Jenna) Harris, Tony (Carrie) Harris; 13 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren. Janice was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Raymond and son William Riley.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 11, 2022, in Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Avenue, Belvidere, IL. The visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, February 10, 2022, at the funeral home. Burial in Fairview Park Cemetery, DeKalb, IL.
