Poplar Grove, IllinoisJanice R. Kreger, 66 of Poplar Grove, IL died Saturday evening, December 30, 2006 in Fairoaks Nursing Home, South Beloit, IL after a lingering illness. Janice was born September 9, 1940 in Harvard, IL the daughter of Charles C. and Bernice E. (Baird) Smith. She married Mr. Ernest J. Kreger in Harvard on August 24, 1963. Janice worked as an assembler for the Admiral Corp. in Harvard. She also worked for Arnold Engineering and Warner Electric both in Marengo as an assembler. Janice cherished spending time with her grandchildren at the family cabin at the lake. She truly enjoyed attending her grandkids football, basketball, T-ball games. Janice made sure her family was well taken care of.Survivors include her husband, Ernest of Poplar Grove, IL; daughters Barbara (Terry) Martenson of Poplar Grove, Kelly (Frank) Paulson of Belvidere; grandchildren, Josh Martenson, Matthew Martenson and Gabriella Paulson; sisters, Evelyn (Duane) Menzel of Broadhead, WI, Cindy Smith of Westmont, IL; brother, Dean Smith of Harvard.Janice is predeceased by her parents; brother, Charles E. Smith and sister, Beverly Doty.
