Janet Lynn Maleck, 81, of Belvidere, IL, went to be with the lord on July 10, 2024. She was born on September 1, 1942. The daughter of Gladys (Jacobson) and Robert Arndt. On August 6, 1966 she married the love of her life, John Maleck. They shared 4 children and 57 years of marriage.

Janet was a radiant and kind person. She loved to spend quality time with friends and family and always made sure that everyone was having a great time, and she was always the life of the party. She enjoyed family karaoke, especially singing with her brothers and sisters.

She was a longtime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church since 1966. Janet had strong faith and relished in life's many blessings. For many years Janet cared for her children at home and opened her home to provide daycare for children in the community.

Janet is loved and will be missed by her son, Jerry Maleck; daughters, Sheryl Carlton and Wendy (David) Keating; grandchildren, William Dunn, Jeremiah (Amy) Lund, Jaime (Terry Mayes) Burdette, Jennifer (James) Wynn, Stephanie (Sarah Russell) Fernando, Alysha (Jennifer Nunn) Keating and Kerry Boettcher; 12 great-grandchildren, sister Faye Tischer; brothers, Robert (Carol) Arndt, Murray (Debbie) Arndt, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

She is welcomed into heaven by her husband, John, son, James Lund, her parents Robert and Gladys Arndt, her brothers, Dale, Bennett, and Bradley, and sister Barbara.

Janet's Visitation will be Saturday, July 20, 2024 between the hours of 11:30am-1pm at Anderson Funeral Home. Located at 218 W. Hurlbut Ave. Belvidere, IL 61008. Funeral Service to follow at 1pm. Burial at Belvidere Cemetery.
