Jane Anne Anderson, 77, of Garden Prairie, IL died peacefully, September 21, 2014 in her home after a brief illness.  Jane Anne was born January 4, 1937 in Belvidere, IL; the first baby that year in Boone County, to Bremer and Lola (Hays) Carlson.  She married Dale M. Anderson on April 26, 1958 in Dubuque, Iowa, he preceded her in death on August 9, 2013.  She attended Stone School in Spring Township, graduated from Belvidere High School in 1955.  Jane Anne was past president of Kishwaukee Grade School PTA, past chairman of United Givers, served on the Boone Co. Health Board, Boone Co. Crimestoppers, Boone Co. Board; past member of Garden Prairie Library Board, co-chair for the Muscular Dystrophy Board, past member of Junior Women's Club and served 36 years as Spring Township Clerk.

Jane Anne was an avid sports fan who enjoyed the Bulls, Bears, Hawks and never missed a Cubs game. As a diehard lifelong Cub fan, Jane Anne was a mainstay at the Cubs caravan tour for many years and lived by the mantra "Maybe next year."  A NASCAR fan with Richard Petty leading the race.  Jane Anne along with her family were reknown for their flock of championship sheep for over 40 years.  Her love for flowers and working in the yard was clearly evident in her precisely manicured yard.  A wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and an especially proud great-grandmother to Hadley Jane.  A community servant and wonderful friend to all that knew her.  A special thank you to Carol Perenchio and the OSF Hospice team for their care and compassion shown to Jane Anne and her family; and Sharon Edwards who has been with us always.

Jane Anne is loved and will be missed by her children, David (Jen Gerdin) Anderson, Dana (David) Cordray, Daniel (Lynn) Anderson; grandchildren, Heather (Mark Haley) Cordray, Holly Cordray, Derek Cordray, Garrett Anderson, Hannah Anderson, Hayley Anderson, Katlynn, Connor, Courtney, Keenan and Mikaila Rodgers; great granddaughter, Hadley Jane Haley.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, September 26, 2014 in Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services at Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Chapel, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, IL with Rev. Allan Buss officiating.  Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.  Burial in Shattuck Grove Cemetery.
