James A. Vance, Sr., 60, of Belvidere, died Sunday, August 5, 2007 in the Emergency Department of O.S.F. St. Anthony Medical Center following a long illness. Born December 16, 1946 in Jadwin, Missouri, the son of Arnold A. and Daisy Loretta (Quick) Vance. He is survived by his three children, Selena M. (Steve) Plumley, Capron, Ill.; Elizabeth A. Vance, DeKalb, Ill.; James A. Vance, Jr., Belvidere, Ill.; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; seven siblings, Carl Vance; Viloet McDonald; Arnold C. Vance; Jerry Vance; Arvil Vance; Garry Vance; Bobby Vance; precede in death by his parents, a grandchild; four siblings, John H. Vance; William Clayton Vance; Daniel Wayne and Mary Ann Vance.
