James E. Trevathan Jr., 69, of Belvidere, Illinois passed away on June 4, 2021 in his home with his loved ones near. James was born September 28, 1951 in Pasadena, Texas son of James Sr. and Shirley Gwen (Landrum) Trevathan. He graduated from Mirabeau B. Lamar High School and went on to take an assortment of technical classes. James worked for Walgreens for 25 years, retiring in 2013. James married the love of his life, Barbara Wall on May 19, 2001 in South Elgin, Illinois. They recently celebrated their anniversary, having been blessed with twenty years of marriage. James was a member of Flora Grange. He enjoyed woodworking.
James is missed and loved by his sweetheart, Barb; son Daniel (Christina) Trevathan; stepchildren Nicholas (Allison) Keil, Adam Keil and Alexander (Nicole) Keil; siblings W. Michael (Mary) Trevathan, Patricia (Mike) Stephenson and V. Gaylene Stewart; grandchildren Autumn, Landon, Skylynn, Phoenix and Degan; father James E. "Billy" Trevathan, Sr.; stepmother Shirley Trevathan; multiple nieces and nephews; Grange family; and numerous cousins. James is preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Gwen (Landrum) Trevathan; Cousin Teresa Landrum; Aunt Jeanine Landrum; and Uncle Don Delvig.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 11, 2021 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Anderson Funeral & Cremation Services, 218 West Hurlbut Avenue, Belvidere, Illinois 61008. A grange service will take place at 7:30 p.m. Funeral service on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 10:00 am at Anderson Funeral & Cremation Services with Patrick Anderson officiating. There will be a visitation from 9:00-9:45 a.m. prior to the service. Interment with committal to follow immediately at Charter Oaks Cemetery in Kirkland, Illinois.
