Belvidere, IllinoisJames J. Kirchner, Sr., 69, of Belvidere, IL, died peacefully Wednesday morning, January 2, 2008 in his home after a lingering illness. Jim was born February 21, 1938 in Detroit, MI the son of James "Jake" and Hazel (Briggs) Kirchner. He married Gloria Ridley on November 14, 1959 in Detroit. Jim worked for various construction companies and retired from Belvidere Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Gloria of Belvidere; sons, Jim (Renee) Kirchner, Jr., Robert (Kay) Kirchner; daughter Linda Rogula; grandchildren,Aletha, Amy, Jim, Erik, Kyle, Hayley, Ciara, Hannah; sisters, Janet Woolman, Eileen (David) Schultz Sr.; brothers, Gerald, Donald.James is predeceased by his parents, son, Michael.

A memorial will be established in care of the family.
