James F. Corl, 72, of Belvidere, died Monday, March 3, 2014 in UW-Madison Hospitals. He was born on June 24, 1941 in Chicago, IL; the son of Karl and Edna (Dieball) Corl. On August 5, 1972, Jim married Rita A. Pendzinski in Chicago. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church; the Moose Lodge 295 and the American Legion Post 21. Jim and Rita enjoyed Civil War reenactments as well as a avid Cubs and Bears fan.. He is survived by his wife, Rita; son, Al (Heather) Corl; step-children, Karen Stone, Gail (Richard) Kopacz, Lois (Howard) Prather, Ray Pendzinski, Dan Pendzinski; 11 grandchildren, Kristin, Tony (Nikki), Michael, Steven, Brittany, Jordan, Danielle, Drew, Grace, Ryan and Blake. Jim is preceded in death by his parents, sister and brother-in-law.

Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 7, 2014 in Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Chapel 218 W. Hurlbut Av. Belvidere, IL. The Rev. Brian Geary, Pastor of St. James Catholic Church, celebrant. Burial in St. James Catholic Cemetery.
