James A. Gough, 73, of Belvidere, Il passed away peacefully, Friday morning, January 26, 2018 in OSF St. Anthony Medical Center after a nine -month battle with Lymphoma. James was born April 15, 1944 in Belvidere, IL the son of Robert A. and Darlene M. Gough. He was drafted into the US Army and served in Viet-Nam, being honorably discharged in May of 1968. He married Judith K. West on October 12, 1969 in Belvidere. James retired from Camcar after 27 years of service. He was raised in the Baptist church, enjoyed fishing, bowling; he even coached bowling and baseball, as well as being a member of the VFW. James was a true family man who enjoyed spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren.
James is loved and will be missed by his wife, Judith; children, Ivan (Kathy) Gough of Blue Mound, WI, Thomas Gough of Belvidere and Tiffany (Robert) Goslawski of Chicago; brothers and sisters, Dale (Arlene) Gough of Monroe, WI, Ray Gough of Oregon, Terry (Sherry) Gough of Broadhead, WI, Arlo (Mary) Gough of Mineral Point, WI, Bonnie Gough of Chicago, Dottie (Duane) Weiland of Janesville, WI, Sheila (Kevin) Workinger of Gratiot, WI; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. James is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Danny, Herman and Carl; one grandchild and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 31, 2018 in Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Avenue, Belvidere, IL. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 1, 2018 at the funeral home with Rev. Monty Fox of First United Methodist Church, Belvidere, Il officiating, burial at Highland Garden of Memories. In lieu of flowers, memorials a memorial will be established.
