Jacqueline Brockman, 85, of Belvidere, died Saturday, July 5, 2008 in Maplecrest Nursing Home following a long illness. Born April 13, 1923 in Spooner, Wisconsin, the daughter of Rolly and Grace (Donaldson) Warner. She married Ralph Brockman in Belvidere, Ill. on June 1, 1946. She was employed as an Aide at the three area nursing homes, Maplecrest, Northwoods and Biltmore. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, the Keen Age Center and a former member of the Boone County Historical Society. She was an advid sports fan supporting the Chicago Cubs, Bears and the Belvidere Bucs. In addition to sports, she also enjoyed gardening tulips, transplanting trees, playing cards and raising cats. She is a graduate of Janesville (Wis.) High School, Class of 1942. She received her letter "J" for swimming and golf. She is survived by her three sons, Gerry, of Belvidere; John of Lansing, MI; and Tom of Belvidere; four grandsons; two granddaughters; two great-grandsons and two great granddaughters; A sister-in-law, Pauline Knitter and brother-in-law, Dean Bailey. She is preceded in death by her husband in 1978; a daughter, Barbara (Meagher) Kinnamon in 1990; two sisters, Jean Bailey and Angeline Millis and a brother, David Warner.
