Jack E. Tuggle, Sr. 87, of Cherry Valley, IL passed away peacefully, early Thursday morning, December 30, 2021, in his home surrounded by his loving family. Jack was born July 21, 1934, in London, KY the son of Guy and Ethel (Jones) Tuggle. He married Jeannette L. Harrison on November 20, 1955, in Jellico, TN. He served our country in the United States Navy from 1954 through 1962 when he was Honorably Discharged following his active and reserve duty. Jack was also an honorary Kentucky Colonel. Jack and Jeannette served the northern Illinois area for over 35 years as owners of Tuggle's Custom Dry Cleaners. He made his spiritual home at Loves Park Baptist Church and was a former Belvidere Cosmopolitan Club member. Following his retirement, Jack enjoyed tinkering in his garage, mowing the lawn, fishing at Rock-Cut or Baumann Park, and deer hunting. Jack was also a private pilot who owned several airplanes, his favorite was his Cessna 172.

Jack is loved and will be missed by his wife, Jeannette; son, Jack (Sue) Tuggle, Jr.; grandson, Josh (Kasey) Tuggle; sister, Guymarie Sackriter of Columbia, MO, nieces and nephews; and grand fur babies, Mia, Yeti, and Oakley. Jack is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Elizabeth Staneck and brother, Medis Tuggle.
