Poplar Grove, IllinoisJack A. Taylor, 75, of Poplar Grove, IL died Sunday morning, July 8, 2007 in OSF St. Anthony Medical Center. Jack was born January 21, 1932 in Addyston, Ohio the son of Robert H. and Minnie Dallas (Sims) Taylor. He married Nellie Fay Dunaway on April 8, 1958 in Harrison, Ohio. Jack served our country during the Korean War in the USAir Force and then with the U.S. Army. Over the years, Jack worked for B.F. Goodrich, Brad Ragan, Inc. and retired from OTR Tire in the Off Road Tire Service business. Jack was a member of the Harvard Moose Lodge. Jack loved to play Bingo and was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was truly a "Jack" of all trades and with his wife, built a screened in porch for their home. He enjoyed his family and his trips to Scotland to visit his daughter.Survivors include his wife, Nellie of Poplar Grove; children, Marilyn (Frank) Haughton of Kirkintilloch, Scotland, Jonathan (Christine) Taylor of Braceville, IL, Terry (Ray) Richardson, next door, Bill (Diane) Taylor of Capron, Mike (Diana) Taylor of Seattle, WA, Steve Taylor of New Orleans; grandchildren, Jennifer (Mike), Walter III (Melissa), Vanessa (Colin), Andrew, Curtis (Angie), Kristine (John), Jonathan Jr., Zachary, Adam, Arron (Sarah), Jaclyn Nicole, Billy (Tish), Justin (Nicole), Lisa, Hailey, Becky, Shannon, Cassie, Patricia, Steven, Andy; great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Timothy, Piper, Arron Jr., Alexander, Walter IV, Katelyn, Jacob, Khloe; sister, Margaret Scott; brother, Norman. Jack is predeceased by his parents, son, Walter E. Taylor; grandson, Tim; sisters, Louise and Shirley; brothers, Robert, Walter and Bill.

In lieu of flowers a memorial will be established in Jack's name, in care of the family.
