Obituary

Jack Alan Rhode, 77, of Belvidere, IL, died peacefully in his home. He was born and raised in Belvidere as well as a lifelong resident, on June 3, 1947, son of Kenneth Rhode and Florence Mae (Luxton) Rhode. He was a Journeyman Wireman and 56-year member of the IBEW LU364, Rockford, IL. Jack married Claudia Tuttle on April 18, 1970, in Crystal Lake. Together they had two daughters, Sarah and Cassandra. Jack felt so blessed when his twin daughters arrived. He fiercely loved his family and adored his daughters and was so proud of the women they had become. He was also blessed with five of the sweetest grand pups-  Wrigley, Zoe, Sadie, Lexi and Delilah. He was a very supportive husband of his wife in pursuing her dreams and career. They were truly partners in life who loved working in their yard, garden and home. They also raised registered Black Angus for breeding and showing for 25 years. Jack loved auctions. Together, Jack and Claudia loved going to auctions and antiquing just about every weekend looking to find all sorts of treasures as well as making lifelong friends along the way.  He also loved to tinker with his 1966 pride and joy Chevelle and a nice cup of coffee on his front porch. Jack was well known as the "Legend" amongst his "Union Brothers." He would do whatever he could to help a brother out.

Jack will be deeply missed by so many including his wife, Claudia; daughters, Sarah (Kyle) Anderson and Cassandra Rhode.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Nancy Holmgren.
