J. Elaine King, of Belvidere, passed away Friday, November 13, 2015. She was born June 23, 1927 to Lillian (Bean) O'Connell and Thomas J. O'Connell Sr. On January 31, 1948, she was married to Laurel G. King at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, Belvidere, IL. The couple lived in Rochelle for 30 years, after retirement moved to northern Wisconsin, later returning to Belvidere.

Surviving are two daughters, Stephanie (Arnold) Stewart of Hayward, WI, and Camille (Gerald) Bever of DeKalb, IL; three grandsons, Eric North of Cable, WI; Dustin North of Eau Claire, WI; Shannon (Jennie) Bever of Arlington Heights, IL; two great-granddaughters, Arnica North (and her mother, Angelina Portoluri) and Lillianna North; one great-grandson, Connor Bever; nephews, T.J. (Connie) O'Connell III of IL; Jeff Jury of TX; and nieces, Jill O'Connell of WI; Kathleen (Dick) Ziegler of IL. Predeceased in death by her parents, husband, brother, T.J. O'Connell, Jr., and four sisters, Eleanor Nelson, Marge Wolf, Catherine Jury, and Lorraine O'Connell in infancy. She was also predeceased by nephew, Tom Jury and niece Jackie Herdklotz.

In accordance with Elaine's wishes, a private service has already been held, Father Randy Wakitsch of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church officiated, with interment in Belvidere Cemetery.
