Isabelle "Issie" L. Moore, 85, of Belvidere, died Monday, April 23, 2007 in O.S.F. St. Anthony Medical Center following a sudden illness. She was born March 4, 1922 in Belvidere, Ill., the daughter of William A. and Gladys M. (Strawn) Culvey. "Issie" married Kenneth B. Moore in Belvidere on November 24, 1945. She was employed as an Office Manager for Henneberry Motors for 55 years. During her career, she received many awards from General Motors for Office Management, Business and Accounting. "Issie" belonged to the First United Methodist Church. She was also a fifty-two year member of the American Legion Women's Auxiliary; a member of the V.F.W. Women's Auxiliary; Bel-Mar Country Club; Women of the Moose, Belvidere Lodge 1052; Bikoda of the Methodist Church; member of Rock River Golf Association. She participated on the Women Bowling and Golf leagues. She received recognition when she had two "Hole-in-Ones" In her civic life she worked for the Belvidere Election Board and served as a Notary Public. "Issie" was a graduate of Belvidere High School, class of 1940. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth, of Belvidere; two sisters, Marjorie Penwarden, Harrison, Ill.; Marguerite "Mickey" Billman, Poplar Grove, Ill.; three brothers, Merrill (Estalee) Culvey, Ava, Missouri; Donald Culvey, Michigan; Kenneth Culvey, Belvidere, Ill.; two sister-in-laws, Ella Mae Kruse and Helen Sanford; two special friends, Tim Smith and Ed Greve; also many nieces, nephews and longtime friends.
