Isabelle D. Countryman, 100, of Belvidere, IL died Friday, July 25, 2014 at Northwest Community Hospital after complications from hip surgery. She was born December 2, 1913 in Stoughton, WI, daughter of Andrew and Julia (Johnson) Wikum. Isabelle graduated from Stoughton High School, class of 1931 and attended Teachers College. She married Roy Countryman on November 22, 1938 in Stoughton, WI. She was a homemaker and enjoyed volunteering. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Belvidere, United Methodist Women's Club and Highland Hospital Auxillary. Isabelle was also a member of Bykota guild, Order of the Eastern Star- Roscoe, Belvidere Federated Women's Club and Sorosis Club. She enjoyed family functions, eating at the Steamplant, eating lunch at the dam in Belvidere Park and watching the geese, bowling and playing bridge.
She is loved and will be missed by her son, Terry (Nancy) Countryman of Palatine, IL; grandchildren, Krista (Jan) McKissak, Kevin (Michelle) Countryman, Kip (Anita) Countryman; great-grandchildren, Natalie, Ryan, Korin, Kenslie, Kayla, Kylie; great-great grandchildren, Garret, Aubrie, Emily; numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded by her husband, Roy; sons, James D. and Thomas C., and 5 brothers.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services at Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Chapel, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave, Belvidere, IL with Rev.
