Irene Pete, 83, of Belvidere, died Monday, July 17, 2006 in Maple Crest Heath Care Center following a lingering illness. Born September 16, 1922 in Polk County, Wisconsin, daughter of Andrew and Bertha (Phillips) Rooth. Irene married Deloss A. Pete in South Beloit, Illinois on September 21, 1940. She was employed as a Housekeeper by the Clock Tower Resort, Rockford, Ill. for 20 years, retiring in 1999. She was amember of St. James Catholic Church, Belvidere. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading and gardening. Irene is survived by her Husband, Deloss, of Belvidere; six children, Reginal Pete, Rockford, Ill.; Carol (Jim) Henson, Fresno, Cal.; Judi (Dave) Marseli, Belvidere, Ill.; Gail (Jim) Gallaway, Los Osis, Cal.; Charles (Deborah) Pete, Belvidere, Ill.; Edward (Cindy) Pete, Rockford, Ill.; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; preceded in death by a son, Michael Pete; her parents and eleven brothers and sisters.
