Irene Tapia Moreno, 64, of Belvidere, IL passed away suddenly early Wednesday morning, December 29, 2021 at Swedish American-Belvidere. Irene was born November 12, 1957 in Illescas S.L.P, Mexico the daughter of Antonio Moreno and Hermila Gutierrez. She married Dionicio Tapia on May 20, 1974.

Irene is loved and will be missed by her husband, Dioncio; mother, Hermila Gutierrez; children, Griselda Tapia Rodriguez, Victor Tapia, Erasmo Tapia; siblings, Maria Moreno, Arnulfo Moreno, Jose Moreno and Juan Moreno; daughters in-law, Laura Tapia and Alma Tapia, son in-law, Magdaleno Rodriguez; grandchildren, Jennifer Mora Rodriguez, Kelvin Tapia, Yamile Rodriguez, Alina Tapia, Destiny Tapia, Dylan Tapia, Yuridia Rodriguez, Brittanye Tapia, Natalle Tapia, Victor Tapia, Santiago Tapia, Kaylee Tapia, Arely Tapia; great grandchildren, Brianna Mora Rodriguez, Joel (JJ) Mora Rodriguez, Briseyda Mora Rodriguez; grand son in-law, Joel Mora. Irene is preceded in death by her father, Antonio and sister, Rosie Moreno.

Visitation for Irene will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, January 3, 2022 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Avenue, Belvidere, IL. The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 4, 2022 in St. James Catholic Church, 402 Church Street, Belvidere, IL with Rev. William Schussler celebrating Mass.
