Irene B. "Grandma" Dean, 87, of Belvidere, passed away peacefully May 9, 2018 in Swedish American Medical Center Belvidere. Grandma was born December 21, 1930 in Rockford, IL the daughter of Charles A. and Sebelia E. (Garrison) Cook. She was a graduate of West High School and married Harold Dean on July 18,1964. Grandma worked as a bookkeeper for Lake Shore Liquors and Clark Oil where she retired in 1992. She was an avid Cubs and NASCAR fan and loved playing bingo. Grandma was a member of the American Legion Post 77 and life member of the V.F.W. Post 1461.

Grandma is loved and will be missed by her daughters, Linnea Hart, Lori Holmes, Linda (Rodney) Nofsinger; grandchildren, Megan Hart-Hofstetter, Michelle Hart, Melissa Hart, Tyler Holmes, Raeann (Michael) Lungstrom, Austin Nofsinger; great-grandchildren, Arienne, Payson Hofstetter, Cru, Drake, Skyleigh Lungstrom; sister, Betty Ellison; special son-in-law Cecil Hart as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents and 3 brothers.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 14, 2018 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave. Belvidere, IL 61008 with Patrick Anderson officiating. A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m.- 10:45 a.m. prior to service. Burial in Highland Garden of Memories. Memorials to the family to establish a memorial in honor of Grandma.
