Irene Y. Bohm, 79, of Belvidere, IL passed away January 3, 2015 at OSF Saint Anthony, Rockford, IL. Irene was born August 16, 1935, and raised by her grandfather, Charles Hinkle. She married Gerald D. Bohm on December 21, 1952 in Pekin, IL. They just recently celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary. Irene retired from Arnold Engineering in Marengo. She loved to read, painting ceramics and drawing. Irene also enjoyed watching old westerns, taking bus trips and camping with her family.
Irene is loved and will be missed by her husband of 62 years, Gerald of Belvidere; daughters, Debra (Joe) Schmalen of Belvidere, Patricia (David) Walters of Marengo, Kristi (Stacey) Forsell of Poplar Grove; grandchildren, Aimee Hansen, Ryan Schmalen, Michael Walters, Jennifer McCormick, Amanda Wieczorek; great- grandchildren, Shelby and Sarah Hanson, Tyler Schmalen, Brendan, Callie and Abigail Walters. Andrew McCormick, Colin and Wyatt Wieczorek.
