Belvidere, IllinoisIone E. Schwartz, 85, a life long resident of Belvidere, IL died peacefully, Tuesday morning, July 11, 2006 in her home with her loving daughters at her side. Ione was born September 23, 1920 in Belvidere, IL the daughter of Wright G. and Gertrude (Gorham) Hammond. She graduated from Belvidere High School with the class of 1938. On August 31, 1957, Ione married Walter H. Schwartz. Over the years Ione and Walter owned W.H. Schwartz Photography. She was a member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, St. Elizabeth Guild, Episcopal Church Women, Alter Guild, Zonta Club, a fifty years member of the Women of the Moose and belonged to the Business and Professional Women Association.Ione is survived by her daughters, Kathleen M. Kiddell of Anchorage, AK, Joyce A. Porter of Belvidere, IL; grandchildren, James B. (Marie) Hill of Aliso Viejo, CA, Mark E. (Sue) Hill of Sunnyvale, CA, Julie K. Wildhaber of San Francisco, CA, Jeffrey W. Wildhaber of Belvidere; great grandson, Matthew James Hill; many loving nieces and nephews and special friend and caregiver, Cheryl RoushIone is predeceased by her parents; husband, Walter H. Schwartz; two brothers, Glyndon and Everett Hammond and two sisters, Uleta Cook and Wanetta Butz.

A memorial will be established in her name with Holy Trinity Episcopal Church.
