Inga E. Carpenter, 87, of Belvidere, died Saturday, November 24, 2007 in O.S.F. St. Anthony Medical Center following a short illness. Born July 11, 1920 in Sharon, Wisconsin, the daughter of Clarence and Edna (Skagen) Hutchinson. She has lived most of her life in Belvidere. Inga married Wallace Carpenter in Capron, Ill. on March 30, 1940. She was employed by the Singer Sewing Machine Co. for a few years. She later became a co-owner with her husband at the I.W. Fastener Company. She attended St. John United Church in Christ. She was a member of the Shadley Colorama Ceramic Club and Shadley Garden Club. Inga was a former member of the Red Hat Society. In addition to doing ceramics and gardening, she enjoyed Crocheting and crafts. She is a graduate of Sharon Wisc. High School. Inga is survived by her three children, Carol (Stephen) Culbertson, Evansville, Wisc.; Kathleen Dawson, Machesney Park, Ill.; and Charlotte Myers, Byron, Ill.; seven grandchildren, Scott and Todd Culbertson, Kimberly Racaurte', Kari Erickson, Grant Dawson, Tonya and Jason Myers; nine great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, two son-in-laws, Hank Dawson and Larry Myers; and two brothers, George and Harold Hutchinson
