Belvidere, ILIda Vail, 74, of Belvidere, died Wednesday, October 30, 2013 in her home following a six month illness. Born January 2, 1939 in Belvidere, IL; the daughter of Lester and Alice (Martin) Chambers. Ida graduated from North Boone High School, Class of 1957. She married David Vail in Belvidere on November 15, 1958. He died in 2002. She is survived by her children, Mark (Camellia) Vail, Waynesboro, VA; Melody (Bill Leonard) Vail, Katy, TX; Derrick (Kim) Vail, Belvidere, IL; 6 grandchildren, Brandon (Valarie) Klink, White Deer, TX; Dustin and Eric Klink, both of Pampa, TX; Jadyn, Jace and Rayley Vail, all of Belvidere; 3 great-grandchildren, Aiden, Devin and Savanna Klink; 2 sisters, Caryl Pettey, Belvidere; Artis Curtis, Frederic, WI; 2 brothers, Howard (Dixie) Chambers, Belvidere; Everette (Leslie) Chambers, Strasburg, CO; brother-in-law, Jim Nelson; special son-in-law, Joe Klink, Pampa, TX and a host of other family and friends. In addition to her husband, Ida is preceded in death by her parents, grandson, Jeremy Klink in 2008; a sister, Jane Nelson and brother, Dale Chambers and 2 brother-in-laws, Joe Pettey and Robert Curtis.
