Howard Mack Cook, 74, of Belvidere, died Tuesday, March 1, 2011 in Swedish American Hospital after a long illness. Born February 9, 1937 in Morristown, TN, son of Jess and Mary Bell (Black) Cook. Married Sandra Webie on September 3, 1960 in Stevens Point, WI. Worked as a truck driver and mechanic, raced and built cars. Howard was a jack of all trades and there wasn't anything that he didn't do. Survivors include his loving wife Sandra, daughters Lori A. (Michael) Walley of Tempe, AZ, Norma J. (Leonard) Glogowski of Loves Park, Brenda L. (Tyler) Chandler of Belvidere, Lisa M. (Steve) Bogardus of Belvidere, son James B. Cook of Belvidere; 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, brothers Clarence (Delores) Cook and Jess (Mary) Cook, Jr. both of Stevens Point, WI, sister Rose (Victor) Diaz of CA, 3 half-brothers and 4 half-sisters, several nieces and nephews.Predeceased by his parents, step-mother, 3 half-brothers and 4 half-sisters.
