Henry R. Morehead, 93 of Belvidere, Illinois died peacefully, Saturday afternoon, May 17, 2008 in Northwoods Care Center after a lingering illness. Henry was born May 8, 1915 in Flora Township, Illinois the son of Raymond and Mabel (Kingsbury) Morehead. He married Mary G. Hamill on May 29, 1937 in Belvidere. Prior to his retirement, he was an independent building contractor. As an avid trapper, hunter and fisherman, Henry enjoyed the outdoors and spending his summers at his lake home on Leech Lake in Minnesota.Henry is survived by his daughter, Karen (Charlie) Hatfield of Belvidere; grandchildren, Shane (Kim) Hatfield of Roscoe, Stacey (A.J.) Halverson of Belvidere, Kimberly (Jeff) Franta of Loves, Park; great grandchildren, Brooke and Hayden Hatfield, Mara and Collin Halverson, Quentin, Gage and Elle Franta; sister, Lucille Oakley of Marengo; brother, Gail Morehead of Rockford. He is predeceased by his parents, wife, Mary and brother, Kenneth Morehead.
