Belvidere, ILHelen Virginia Turnipseed, 84, of Belvidere, IL died peacefully, early Friday morning, July 5, 2013 in her home surrounded by her loving family. Helen was born March 25, 1929, Ham's Prairie, Missouri, the daughter of Delbert L. "Bud" and Helen Geneva (Sherman) Swain. She married Deloss J. Turnipseed on October 20, 1946 in Richland Center, WI. Helen worked for Automatic Electric in Genoa, IL for 30 years, retiring as a supervisor. Helen was very devoted to her faith and was a member of Belvidere Assembly of God.The family acknowledges the love and care given by Helen's caregivers Rose Tieman, Linda M. Johnson and Becky Corsello.Helen is loved and will be missed by her children Linda A. (Paul) Frykholm of Garden Prairie, IL and John (Lawanna) Turnipseed of Belvidere; grandchildren Angela (Charles) Adams, Jason (Sarah) Turnipseed, Wendy (Brad) Bartell, Dawn (Tim) Klein, Erik (Andrea) Peterson; great grandchildren Jessica, Jordon, Rebecca, Taylor, Alex, Megan, Ryan, Taylor, Ethan, Elaina, Emily, Sarah, Katherine, Steven, Adam; sisters June Shaw of Haines City, FL, Mary Ann Schmidt of Houston, TX. Helen is preceded in death by her parents and husband Deloss.
