Helen Amelia (Crocker) Johnson, 88, died Friday, February 16, 2007 in O.S.F. St. Anthony Medical Center. She was born October 31, 1918 in Hebron, Ill. to George and Mary (Gast) Crocker. Helen attended McHenry County Schools. She married Henry I. Johnson in Rockford, Illinois on November 4, 1936. Helen retired from GTE-Automatic Electric in 1980 after 22 years of service as an Inspector/Tester. She was a very active member of Zion Lutheran Church, Belvidere and member of the Harvard Moose Lodge Golden Agers. In her spare time, she enjoyed family activities and Traveling. She is survived by two daughters, Judith Stokes, Ramona, California and Mary H. Johnson, Marion, North Carolina; a son, A. Alan Johnson, Indianapolis, Indiana; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Henry I. Johnson, son, James H. Johnson, dear friend, Clarence Aten; and her parents, brothers and sisters.
