Helen Elaine Jacobus Cadie, 85, of Belvidere, passed away, Saturday morning, November 19, 2016. Helen was born May 9, 1931 to Arnold and Agnes (Schalk) Jacobus. She graduated from DeKalb Township High School in 1948. Helen married Harold George Cadie on October 29, 1948, and they were the proud parents of Larry Duaine Cadie (deceased), Richard Allen (Julie) Cadie of DeBary, FL, Debra Elaine (Dale) Dickison of Plymouth, IN, Kathy Jo (Melvin-deceased) Stewart of Belvidere, Lynn Harold Cadie (deceased), Roger Dean (Susan) Cadie, of Belvidere, Steven George (Catherine) Cadie of Belvidere, and Janis Beth (James) Bakke of Belvidere; numerous grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; sisters, Marilyn (Otto) Nelson, Joan (Robert-deceased) Fidder, Kay (Floyd) Ollmann, Linda (Robert-deceased) Zak. She is preceded in death by her father and mother, step-father, Ray Mosher, brother, Jim Jacobus, Max Jacobus,  sisters, Beverly Cliffe, Florence Gardner, fiancé, George Ryan, and grandson, Bradley Cadie. Helen was of Methodist faith, and a member of the Flora Grange and Pomona Grange.
