Heather D. Gustafson, 36, of Belvidere, IL, passed away peacefully, Monday morning, May 23, 2016. Heather was born March 25, 1980 in Belvidere, IL, daughter of Danne and Kathy (Marshall) Gustafson. She graduated from Belvidere High School, Class of 1998. She had the soul of a gypsy and the spirit of a fairy. Heather was employed at the Dari-Ripple throughout high school, she went on to become everyone's favorite bartender at The Backstop. Heather was a great pool player and was on the women's pool league in Belvidere. She enjoyed music, being outdoors, and cheering on the Chicago Cubs and Oakland Raiders. Heather's sunny disposition and incredible sense of humor will always inspire everyone she knew. She had a contagious smile that always lit up the room. Heather was always helping people in their time of need, her compassion for others will live on in everyone's hearts. She loved to spend quality time with her friends and family. Heather befriended numerous people from all backgrounds. The incredible love and support from Heather's friends is deeply appreciated by her family. She kept a beautiful home filled with fairies, her favorite figurines. She was a fun-loving free spirit with a heart of gold. Heather has earned her fairy wings.

Heather is loved and missed by her parents; sisters, Katrina (Damien Hunter) Marshall, Jennifer (Matthew) Moran, Julie Gustafson and Amy Heller; nieces and nephew, Raven (Branden Lucas) Ross, Dominic Moran, Ava Hunter, Callie Moran and Ivy Hunter; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and great friends.

A visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, May 27, 2016 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave, Belvidere, IL 61008.
