Hazel K. Kasch, 90, of Rockford, died Friday, June 14, 2013 in River Bluff Nursing Home. Born October 13, 1922 in rural Winnebago County; daughter of Herman C. and Pearl (Welch) Kasch. She spent her life assisting on the family farm. She enjoyed gardening and always had lots of exotic pets. She enjoyed being outside and never liked to miss her programs. Hazel's family would like to thank the staff at River Bluff Nursing Home for the love and care given; special thanks to her caregivers Tammy and Ebony who treated Hazel as a treasured member of their families; thanks also to nurse Julie and the staff at Northern Illinois Hospice for their care and support through this long journey.Survivors include her niece Pearl (Gary) Ballinger, nephews Lloyd (Teri) Meyers and Leroy (Ruth) Meyers; brother Martin Kasch and his surviving children; several great-nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, 3 brothers, and 1 sister.
