Belvidere, IllinoisHazel N. Daniels, 89, of Belvidere, IL entered peacefully into Heaven on Sunday evening September 28, 2008 after a sudden illness. Hazel was born December 3, 1918 in Whitewater, WI the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman and Helen (Kingbaum) Schmidt. She married Mr. Raymond F. Daniels on November 29, 1937. Hazel worked thirty-one years prior to her retirement, for Woolworths, Fellins Meat Market, Sanford and Murley, and Super Value.She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church where she was active in the Sixty and Over group and the Ladies Guild. Hazel loved her Lord and her family deeply. She always said, "God and Family first." In her spare time she enjoyed caring for her lovely flowers and beautiful yard, of which she won Yard of the Month twice. She had a warm and gentle smile that greeted all she came in contact with and will be deeply missed by all her family and friends.Survivors include her children, Richard J. (Roberta) Daniels of Garden Prairie, Charles "Bud" (Virginia) Daniels of Belvidere; grandchildren, Judd (Sandy) Daniels, Angela J. Daniels, Lisa J. (Jeff) Vance; great grandchildren, Benjamin Vance, Lucas Vance, Dana (Matt) Lloyd, Jason (Amanda) Wahl; sister, Lucille Struss of Cambridge, WI and several nieces and nephews. Hazel is predeceased by her parents, husband, Raymond and sister, Lorraine Wylde.

A memorial will be established with Immanuel Lutheran Ladies Guild and the Immanuel Lutheran Church in her memory.
