Harvey D. Pearson, 80, of Poplar Grove, IL, died Monday, June 9, 2014 in O.S.F. St. Anthony Medical Center Emergency Room following a sudden illness. Born February 2, 1934 in Belvidere, IL; the son of Harry and Margaret (Marcellus) Pearson. Harvey was employed as a Diesel Mechanic for Ryder Trucking Co. He retired in 1985. He was a Korean War Veteran serving in the Army. Harvey was a member of the Belvidere Moose Lodge #295 and V.F.W. Belvidere Post #1461. He is survived by his 5 children, Terrie (Bob) Cassidy, Poplar Grove; Tina Puffenbarger, Bedford, OH; Tracy (Robin) Pearson, Bessemer City, NC; Ted Pearson and Thelma Pearson, both of Belvidere; son-in-law, Steve Bardell, Poplar Grove; 13 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren. Harvey was preceded in death by parents, daughter, Trixie Bardell; son-in-law, Terry Puffenbarger; infant grandson, David Pearson, brother, Keith Pearson.

A Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m., Monday, June 16, 2014 followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. in Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services at Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Chapel 218 W. Hurlbut Avenue.
