Obituary

Harry Zeka, 81, of Belvidere, died Wednesday, May 3, 2006 in the Emergency Room of O.S. F. St. Anthony Medical Center following a lengthy illness. Born July 11, 1924 in Fort Dodge, Iowa; the son of Joseph John and Marie (Ciprova) Zeka. Harry married Mabel Ruth Gorman in Gowrie, Iowa on October 16, 1942. She preceded him in death November 29, 2004. He was a carpenter for Rockford Drop Forge Co. He later worked as a Mechanic and Part-time Bus Driver for Belvidere School District 100. He also served on the Boone County Sheriff's Patrol. Harry was a veteran of WWII serving in the Army Air Corp. Member of Zion Lutheran Church and former member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Belvidere Lodge #295. Harry is survived by two sons, Dwight, of Belvidere and David (Joann) of Appleton, Wisconsin; four grandchildren, Lori; Jamie; Riley and Jeffrey. Three brothers, Floyd, of Manson, Iowa; Henry, of Victorville, CA; and Robert of Sacramento, CA.
