Harriet E. Gott, 90, of Belvidere, IL passed away peacefully, Saturday morning, November 29, 2014 in Park Place nursing Home after a short illness.  Harriet was born January 14, 1924 in Waterman, Illinois the daughter of Carl J. and Ethel Ione (Swift) Ritter.  She graduated from Boone-McHenry High School (Capron High) with the class of 1942.  She married James Reser, the father of her children; then married Charles Gott.  She was a member of Belvidere Assembly of God Church. And was employed as an assembler for KKO in Capron for 17 years.  Harriet was a former member of the American Legion Auxiliary – Capron Post #25; she also loved to embroider and play the piano.

Harriet is loved and will be missed by her children, Donna (Eugene) West of Poplar Grove, LaVon (William) Baxter of Wildwood, FL, Diana Harris of Rockford, IL, Connie McHugh of West Jefferson, OH; sisters, Dorothy Rumple of Rockford, IL, Barbara Schultz of Harvard, IL, Donna Koltz of California; brothers, Paul (Janet) Ritter of California, Eugene (Arla) Ritter of Oregon; brother in-law, David Lungwitz; 12 grandchildren, 22 Great- grandchildren and 6 Great-great-grandchildren.  Harriet is preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; grandson, Mikey Glass; sister, Margaret Ann Lungwitz; brother in-laws, Norman Koltz, and Louis Rumple; son in-laws, Joe Harris and Timothy McHugh.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 11, 2015 in Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services at Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Chapel, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, IL with Rev. Dale Anderson and Rev. Scott Nellis co-officiating.  Gathering time will be from 10:00 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.  Burial of Harriet's cremated remains will be held in Belvidere Cemetery.  To light a candle or to share a memory, please visit www.AndersonFCS.com
